Sydney is a sophomore at the University of Kentucky majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Alongside her partner Bruno, Sydney works to develop the team’s image registration program to study ancient artifacts such as the Herculaneum scrolls. She enjoys working with everyone on the team and applying her coding knowledge to such an impactful project. She feels that her tenacity on the project has taught her a better understanding of her area of study.

Research and Partnership Specialist

Christy frames and tells the stories of our research – its technical achievements and broader impacts – to diverse audiences. She also manages the relationships with all our stakeholders, including foundations, student researchers, philanthropic donors, collaborating academics, partner institutions, and media representatives. Her work includes mentoring students in the process of producing and disseminating research results; writing and editing articles, lectures, grant proposals, website pages, and other communication vehicles; managing our digital assets; and ensuring compliance with proper contractual agreements.
