Brent Seales Ph.D.<\/h2>\n<p><em>Professor and Principal Investigator<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Seales has been teaching and mentoring students in computer science at the University of Kentucky since 1991. The focus of his research for the past\u00a020 years has been on restoring and redeeming\u00a0cultural and historical artifacts\u00a0from the ravages of time. The challenge of rescuing texts that may be central to Biblical scholarship and the formation of the ancient world is a primary passion.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of his innovations, Dr. Seales has become renowned by collectors and curators across the globe, earning a reputation as \u201cthe guy who can read the unreadable.\u201d His breakthrough work on the scroll from En-Gedi received international recognition and was featured in\u00a0<i>Science Advances,\u00a0<\/i>the\u00a0<i>New York Times, Le Monde,\u00a0<\/i>and the\u00a0<i>Times of London.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><strong>Honors &amp;
