Oxford 2018<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>[vc_single_image image=”4149″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”\/dri\/oxford-2018\/”][vc_column_text]Each year Professor Seales\u2019s research students travel with him to perform site work at well-known partner libraries and museums in the U.S. and overseas. In 2018, the research team visited London and Oxford, England. \u00a0The students were given a private viewing of the PHerc.118 fragment that they had worked on all semester, and they presented the results of that work to a 50-member crowd at University College, part of Oxford University. They stayed on campus in one of the dorms and had the opportunity to attend dinner at Christ Church with Classics collaborator and MacArthur Fellow Dr. Dirk Obbink. They also visited Bletchley Park, home of the World War II code breakers; the National Museum of Computing; and the particle accelerator Diamond Light Source. Finally, the students conducted site work with Librarian Daryl Green on his heritage materials at Magdalene College, the very library where C.S. Lewis studied and worked.<\/p>\n
