Ph.D. Candidate\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Fall 2021 – Present<\/p>\n

Ankan completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the West Bengal University of Technology, India. He worked as an Amazon Web Services and JavaScript developer at Cognizant Technology Solutions and published research articles in renowned journals such as the Scientific Reports and ACM TALLIP. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Kentucky under the guidance of Dr. Seales. Ankan’s research focuses on the digital restoration of ancient artifacts in collaboration with Dr. Seales’ EduceLab. He explores various techniques such as spectral analysis, web-based 3D viewing, neural methods, and CT scanning for object analysis. Ankan’s partnership with Dr. Seales has provided him with invaluable mentorship and opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of digital preservation and the exploration of cultural heritage.
